Honeymoon Packing Checklist

If you're like most people, the worst part about traveling is thinking about what to pack - especially when it's for something as important as your honeymoon. You don't want to forget a thing, but you want to make sure to leave some room in your bags for those special souvenirs and gifts. Use this checklist below to help you remember the key items for the trip of your life.

(Note: This checklist is intended for a week's worth of vacation. Depending on your honeymoon destination, you may need more of a particular item, and less of others.)

For Both

___ Passport/visas/driver's licenses (be sure to make a copy of all of these to carry with you at all times)
___ Important credit cards (leave your Gap card at home!)
___ Hotel/tour confirmations or receipts
___ Traveler's checks
___ Local Currency
___ Important phone numbers (including doctor, key family and friends, travel agency/tour guide, hotels, etc.)
___ Camera (if you intend to do a lot of water sports, you may consider getting a water proof camera for fun!)

For Her
___ 1 pair jeans/ casual pants
___ 1 light jacket or fleece
___ 1 casual dress
___ 1 formal dress (preferably one that needs little to no ironing and will not take up too much space in your bag)
___ 1 light sweater that goes with the casual dress as well as the formal dress
___ 5 casual shirts that you can wear during the day
___ 2 pairs of shorts, or warm-up/sweat pants (depending on the destination climate)
___ 2 swimsuits and or bikini/tankinis (one can be used for the beach, the other for water sports)
___ 1-2 swimsuit cover-up such as sarongs or water-proof shorts
___ 1 pair walking shoes/sandals
___ 1 pair water-proof shoes/sandals
___ 1 pair evening shoes/sandals
___ 1 party purse that can go with anything
___ 10 pairs of socks
___ 10 sets of underwear (including bras - one of which should be strapless to go with all outfits)
___ 1 shawl (can be used in chilly airports or restaurants and still exudes an elegant look)
___ Minimal Amount of Makeup
___ Lip Balm
___ Hair ties
___ 1 pair of versatile earrings
___ Other jewelry items to dress up an outfit (think hoop earrings for the beach, cuff bracelet for dinners, etc.)
___ Sunglasses

For Him

___ 2 button down/dress shirts (preferably ones that needs little to no ironing and will not take up too much space in your bag)
___ 1 light sweater that goes well with the casual pants as well as the dress pants
___ 5 casual shirts that you can wear during the day
___ 2 pairs of shorts, or warm-up/sweat pants (depending on the destination climate)
___ 2 swim trunks (one can be used for the beach, the other for water sports)
___ 1 pair walking shoes/sandals
___ 1 pair water proof shoes/sandals
___ 1 pair evening shoes/sandals
___ 10 pairs of socks
___ 10 pairs of underwear/boxer shorts
___ Lip Balm
___ Sunglasses
___ Hat
___ Shaving cream

Leave Behind With Family or Friends:
Your itinerary and hotel phone numbers
Photocopies of your passport, credit cards, and traveler's check receipts
A sealed copy of your wills, life insurance-policy numbers, and pertinent financial info.
