Previously known as the Supper Club, the new 17,000 sq ft Edison Ballroom on West 47th street opened its doors in March 2008. Having served the event needs of New Yorkers for decades, this stylish venue is the perfect choice for all types of private parties and celebrations including weddings, anniversaries, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, corporate functions and many others. The classic art deco design was created by Glen Cohen and Company, a student of David Rockwell who himself designed the original Supper Club.

The Edison Ballroom has a long history – it originally opened in the 1930s as the grand ballroom for the hotel Edison. It offered dining and dancing to the music of famous bands and singers from the Swing Era. The venue also had a separate bar and restaurant called the Green Room. A generation later the ballroom was turned into the Edison Theater where various Broadway productions were performed. In 1991 the Supper Club opened its doors and offered a classy venue for catering and private events. After its $5 million renovation, the venue reopened as the Edison Ballroom.
