The exquisite, 20th century neoclassical glass doors lead to an elegant lobby, complete with an amber chandelier, designed from selected pieces of 19th Century crystal. Tavern on the Green was completely renovated in 1988, and the cocktail lounge was moved to its current location. The upstairs bar features a leaded glass window panel behind the bar depicting a maiden on the back of a lion. Several banquet rooms are available for you to choose from, ranging in capacity from 20 to 3000. Overlooking Central Park, the Tavern's legendary garden is also New York's only outdoor nightclub and has the city's largest outdoor bar. Lanterns and colorful flowers adorn the garden, creating a romantic, one of a kind atmosphere.
