Danfords Hotel & Marina Reviews

This is an amazing venue located right on the Sound. The views are breathtaking. We were sold on the location the moment we pulled up and had a look around. We did our best to stay cautiously detached while we took the tour and started chatting with the staff, but it was tough; it is just so beautiful, and they were making us feel so welcome! Needless to say, we checked out a few more venues on our list, but our heart wasn’t really in it by that point in time; we’d both settled on Danfords already in our minds. None of the other places we looked at were nearly as beautiful, clean, and professional, and again, the location is just perfect for the Long Island wedding of your dreams. Jon deserves a shout-out for his incredible cuisine. The cocktail hour was our favorite, but we loved the food at the reception too. We also want to mention both Lynn and Christine, who were accommodating, patient, communicative, and flexible. The weather stayed great for us. Only drawback with this place I’d say is the fact that your party is not necessarily going to be the only one going on that day. There was another event on the same day as ours, and at times the noise got a bit annoying. Still, the staff did a great job, and the other party never interfered with ours. A lot of our guests didn’t even realize there was anything else going on. We stayed the night and were impressed by how quiet it was, and the brunch the next day was awesome!

Beautiful hotel with nautical decor and a gorgeous location. We were here for a friend's wedding and ended up staying for a few days while we were in town. It was a great experience.

Chef Jon did an incredible job putting together a truly amazing feast for us for our wedding party! We were just as impressed with the service as we were with the food. We were given so many options, and everything came out just how we would have wanted it. He really is very creative and has some unique recipes! The location itself is also wonderful. We stayed a couple of nights in the hotel and loved our room with its nautical theme and comfortable, simple decor.
