The North Shore Yacht Club (NSYC) opened its doors in 1871 under the name of the New York Canoe Club and prides itself on being the oldest yacht club on Long Island with its fleet consisting of all types of sailboats. The club is located on the north shore of Manhasset Bay in Port Washington and is completely protected on three sides, making it one of the safest anchorages in the Bay.
The North Shore Yacht Club has one central clubroom which features a cathedral ceiling and windows on a large deck. Overlooking Manhasset Bay, this big, paneled room offers elegant settings, romantic atmosphere and breathtaking views, and can accommodate up to 155 people. The windowed wall opens to the spacious deck where your guests can sit and relax on comfortable chairs and lounges. The clubroom is the perfect location for meetings, private events, weddings, corporate functions and any other special events. A complete kitchen and fireplace add convenience and charm to any off-season event. The room is available for rental for both club members and non-members alike. Various table and chair set-ups can be arranged to accommodate your needs. Television and audio/visual equipment is available as well. Food service and decorations are available upon request, however you can use your own caterer and vendors. The friendly staff at the club will answer any questions you might have in regards to planning your event in their elegant venue.
