Overlooking the Great South Bay, the Riverview Restaurant is located on the Connetquot River and has been offering quality service and exquisite cuisine for over 20 years. This waterfront location has some of the most beautiful surroundings on Long Island. Zagat Survey acknowledged the restaurant for its "delicious dinners and excellent Sunday buffet brunch". The Riverview used to be a part of William K. Vanderbilt's 800 acre estate in the past. The original portion of the restaurant, nowadays known as the Tea Room and marked by fireplaces on each end, was built in 1888.
Devoted to serving only one wedding at a time they'll customize every aspect of your celebration according to your specifications. You and your guests will have the entire restaurant to yourselves exclusively. Have your reception out on the deck or in the contemporary dining room. Either way you'll be presented with flawless service and romantic settings. The Maitre'D and Captain will make sure that every detail is taken care of and the banquet manager will help you throughout the planning process. Floral centerpieces of freshly cut flowers adorn the tables, complete with your choice of floor-length linens and chair covers. Provided are directional maps for your invitations and place cards. They also offer free docking for any size boat. Other enhancements for your reception include custom made ice sculptures, valet parking and ceremonies in their outdoor gazebo among many others.
The bar serves unlimited premium brand liquor, fine wines, and domestic and imported beers. Your guests can enjoy beautifully decorated cocktail buffet with artistically presented displays, hot chafing dishes, a variety of stations and butler style hor’s d’oeuvres. Your wedding dinner includes the traditional champagne toast, appetizers, salad, entrée of your choice and your custom created tiered wedding cake.
