Both Orlando and his Chef Jose Rodrigues have experience in France and Italy and bring their experience to Long Island with a delightful Northern Italian restaurant with a hint of the old world charm.

Choosing to have your event or special occasion at the restaurant or at your own location will be one that will be remembered for years to come. A few of the most popular signature dishes you will want to include on your menu include Torta San Marco, which is an antipasto layered cake, Chicken Raspberry, and Veal Cantiniera. For dessert, you must try Tiramisu, which is a sponge cake soaked in cappuccino and rum layered with ladyfingers, mascarpone, and cacao. Other favorites include Chocolate Mousse and Crème Brullee. The wine list at San Macro Ristorante is one that is very impressive with over 20,000 wines in their cellar.

The New York Times rated San Marco Ristorante, very good rating, the Wine Spectator presented them with "Award of Excellence", and the Practical Gourmet gave them a 4-star rating.

We held a party here. We were looking for a place where we would get great food at an affordable rate and be able to work with a great chef who would be willing to accommodate guests with special dietary needs. We weren’t really picky about the ambiance and were willing to go with something pretty simple, but this place is actually surprisingly nice inside! It’s nothing fancy, but the lighting is low and pleasant and there’s a warm golden glow to the interior. Outside, it just looks like a really standard family restaurant and catering venue, but I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised when you step inside. Very nice table settings too. They looked very elegant. Oh, they have a greenhouse too, but it was the wrong season for it. It looked like a beautiful spot though, and we’d have used it if we could have. And they do come round to other venues, so if you want to order catering for an event you’re holding somewhere else, they’re available for that too! The catering menu rocks! You get to start out with delicious appetizers. The mozzarella is fresh and outstanding, and the rigatoni is really awesome. Then there is a salad course where they let you choose a couple of options, and then you get to move on to the main course. Lots of veal and chicken options on the menu, and some interesting choices like jumbo shrimp wrapped in bacon with cheese (it’s to die for, seriously!), and duckling. You wrap it up with dessert, which personally was my favorite part. I love Italian desserts, and they had a huge assortment. Everything looked amazing, and my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. When I left, I was seriously stuffed! They also had a great wine menu, imported beers, and cocktails at the open bar. A very nice drink menu, and an affordable one too. It was a real hit with our guests. It was the first time we ever ate here, but needless to say, we’ve been back for dinner since, and have thoroughly enjoyed everything we’ve eaten. The dinner is just as delicious as the catering. It’s become our new favorite Italian restaurant, as a matter of fact! What a way to discover it. Our party was a huge success, and it’s all thanks to an incredible chef and staff, and a wonderful catering house. So give them a try! If you love Italian food, you will love this place!
