The Carltun is situated on over a thousand acres in a residential setting at Eisenhower Park, East Meadow on Long Island. It opened its doors in December 1995, recreating the grandeur of the beginning of 20th century. Many famous guests have visited the facility, among whom was president George Bush in 2004.
The Carltun offers a number of indoor and outdoor venues. Have your ceremony in the beautiful, well-manicured garden adorned by fountains and picturesque flowers. Enjoy your cocktail hour on the Victorian patio while taking in the panoramic view. Indoors the owners have created a luxurious feel to the place by using rich fabrics and mahogany furnishings, enhanced by original paintings and tapestries, hand-painted murals and shimmering chandeliers. Large fireplaces, herringbone teakwood floors and marble top bars all add to the splendor of the Carltun. The grand ballroom features a spacious wooden dance floor and the baby grand piano in the foyer creates a romantic and intimate atmosphere.
A professional wedding coordinator will guide you throughout the planning process. A private bridal suite is available for you and your bridal party. Upon entrance your guests will be greeted by the valet and doormen, and then offered chilled champagne and strawberries in the foyer, followed by deluxe beverage appointments in the elegant Drawing Room. Butler passed homemade hot and cold hor's d'oeuvres are served on silver birdcages. Cocktail hour also includes beautifully presented displays and a variety of stations of your choice. Your dinner reception includes appetizers, a gourmet salad, exquisite entrees made to order with only the finest ingredients and for dessert enjoy your custom created tiered wedding cake, fresh fruit and assortment of cakes and pies, served with coffee and tea.
Owned by John Tunney and Anthony Capetola, the Carltun prides itself for being one of the most popular catering facilities on Long Island. Fine china, silver place settings and crystal, along with a gourmet menu, fine wines and flawless service make the Carltun one the most elegant and unique places for your fairytale wedding.
