Founded in 1978, the Lenz Winery has some of the most mature vineyards in the region, and—due to the extensive replanting of California vineyards to avoid further damage from the phylloxera louse—in the country. Nearly 70 acres of chardonnay, gewürztraminer, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, malbec, petit verdot, pinot gris and pinot noir grapes have been cultivated. Fusing outstanding wines with rustic charm, Lenz hosts weddings are held outdoors between May and September only. Smaller receptions, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties or corporate meetings may be had inside throughout the year.
