Tim Burke Productions Reviews

Review: Both my family and my partner’s family are from the Hamptons, so pretty much 90% of the invite list to our wedding lives there. We wanted to keep things as easy as possible since they are already a pretty crazy bunch, and getting them all to the same place was going to be hard enough! Walked into 230 Elm to check out what they had to offer. Downstairs there’s nothing but a bar, but don’t let that deceive you. They’ve got a very nice catering space upstairs. It’s surprisingly big! We were surprised. From the outside, we wouldn’t have guessed that they have like a 500 person capacity. Which was a good thing, since we had 300+ people in our party, and we were very worried about where we were going to put them all! The other thing which rocks about this place is the parking. A lot of wedding venues only have valet parking and/or just not enough of it. We had to park blocks away from my brother’s wedding just last year! Here they have space for like 50 cars, and the train station is really close by, so that’s more parking. Our guests still had to do some carpooling, but nobody had to walk too far. With a lot of old people in our group, that was very much appreciated! Aside from the space, the food was our other big concern. We wanted really yummy food at our wedding, not a lot of so-so food in bulk! On the chef’s advice, we chose a variety of different entrees for different tastes, I think a pasta, chicken and a beef entrée. It was the chicken marsala that I ended up eating myself, and I loved it! Very delicious mushrooms on top! The seasonal vegetables that went on the side were delicious too and worked really well with the chicken. For dessert of course we wanted a wedding cake. They showed us quite a portfolio and so many different types of cake we could get! The one we chose ended up satisfying everyone. So many people told us it was one of the best wedding cakes they ever had! So chocolate-y good! They did have a projector screen which was a lot of fun. We did a slideshow of our relationship and the fun times we’ve had with our family and friends, and that was really a great experience. We brought in an outside DJ for the dance party, and that was awesome too! We also handled décor ourselves. The event space looked fantastic when we had everything set up and ready to go. I’m convinced this was the best choice we could’ve made, staying in the Hamptons and going with this venue. We got a place that was convenient for everyone (especially with the parking!), and the food was great and the service too. The space is really big, so even if you have a huge party, don’t worry, they will find room for you! And definitely order the chicken marsala for dinner, it was so good!
