Established in 1980, the Water's Edge is one of the most renowned waterfront properties of its kind and a premier wedding destination. Founders Marika and Stuart Somerstein had an idea to create an elegant, five star restaurant with the breathtaking Manhattan skyline as a backdrop and that's how Water's Edge was born on a barge in the East River in Long Island City. As time passed, more and more people were choosing the venue for their special occasions. In 1986 it underwent a major renovation and the upper level was constructed. In 1999 Water’s Edge owners bought the luxury yacht Marika, which is available for all social and corporate events. The well-appointed, bi-level M/V Marika is fully equipped with all amenities such as a fully stocked commercial kitchen, state of the art sound system and dance floor, and can accommodate up to 149 guests.

Included in your package are a number of amenities some of which are a choice of linens, personalized menus, the services of a doorman, waiters and bartender in tuxedos, directed by a professional Maitre D’ along with Captain, headwaiter, bridal attendant and butler. An open bar serves a premium selection of name-brand liquor, wines and bottled beer.
