Located at World Trade 7 near thirteen subway lines, the New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS) Conference Center is an easily accessible and convenient location to hold your social or corporate event. Constructed in 2006 by Silverstein Properties, the facility is the first commercial office building in the city to receive the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification where it won a Gold rating. This state-of-the-art center offers stunning views from 40 floors above NYC street level and can accommodate 200 guests for a reception or 300 theater style.
Four elegant event spaces are available for your special occasion – the Kayden Auditorium, the stylish lobby, the Conference Room and the Boardroom. Each of them features unique design elements, highly flexible configurations, a variety of lighting options and the latest in audio-visual technology. The meeting rooms are fully equipped with all amenities you might need such as pull-down screens, built-in front screen projectors, audio and video recording equipment, teleconferencing capability, wireless access and a podium with mic.
Offering breathtaking vistas of the Hudson River, midtown Manhattan, the Woolworth Building, Wall Street, and the Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg Bridges, the Kayden Auditorium is a 3,550 square feet well-appointed event space. With its built-in wood banquettes, a wall of windows and beautiful hardwood floors, the lobby is an elegant room with a number of flexible options to support events in adjoining meeting spaces, i.e. serve as a registration area, coffee break space, exhibit hall or lavish reception area. The Conference Room is a 1,060 square feet enclosed elliptical space which can accommodate 40 guests seated in a classroom setup, 80 - in theatre style, 80 for a reception, and 45 at round tables. With stunning views of the Financial District, the Boardroom is the perfect space for smaller events of up to 95 guests.
